firewall prob with IE/Outlook Express

I just bought the ESet security package.

Everything that accesses the internet works, EXCEPT IE and Outlook Express. I turn off the FIREWALL, and they work.

I do NOT have any other AV or firewall installed. Windows firewall is OFF also.

I did have NOD32 installed, but removed it.

I did nothing at all to BLOCK IE and OE Express.

Help please. IDEAS???

The problem was AdMuncher. A program I installed long ago that I used with dialup. Recently cable finally arrived, and I forgot to remove AdMuncher because it's really not necessary anymore for speed and blocking ads.

Anyways, I uninstalled AdMuncher and ESET SS works great now.

I use Admuncher AND ESET SS..no problem here. Works just fine.

It was a very old version of Ad Muncher. Program probably hadn't been updated in 2 years. Like I said, I forgot I had left it installed.

All is good, glad everyones is working now. :)

Great. I just wanted to let one know that they will work together if one wanted to use them both :)
