Was not sure where to put this ::)

I use Vista Home premium 32Bit

I am currently using Nod32 3.0 trial with no firewall just the one that Vista brings.

Now i am thinking is this a good combo.

AVG Antimalaware (that like having the antivirus with AVG antispyware right?)
with Comodo 3.0 (when final comes out?)

or

KIS ?

The thing is i was thinking AVG does not do as good as Nod32 but still i guess its good enough right?

What you think?

Comodo firewall must be good plus it has a HIPS so it might be a good combo with AVG Antimalaware?

Does anyone know if AVG 8.0 is coming anytime soon?

Chaos16.. You could listen to thousands of arguments as to which combo would be better. My advice would be.. If Its not Broken.. Don't try and Fix It ;)

Hello chaos16,

You might not find this answer particular helpful, but I have run all three of the AV programs you mentioned in the configurations you mentioned (almost, no Comodo 3 w/ AVG AM), and all worked well on my system (in this case, Vista Ultimate w/3G RAM).

My suggestion is to study the threads here regarding all three of your potential choices before choosing one.

Regards,
Jim

AVG Anti-Malware + Comodo 3 should be good. Last I heard AVG 8.0 was supposed to be released in Fall 2007. :)

AVG Antimalware with for now Vista firewall and when Comodo 3.0 becomes final i will use that.

And about AVG 8.0 hopefully it would come soon i wonder what the new features will be?
