Hi i have a toshiba laptop that i want to clone the drive to another laptop drive. via Usb . i purchased the usb to laptop drive cable and Acronis ,i have the 2nd drive installed..It reads, but when i try to clone the drive ,everything good great until the clone requires a reboot . The cloning prosses cannot proceed because it cannot find the usb hard drive after reboot ....can someone help me to figure out the best way to do this..I need to have a compete backup of my drive just in case my other drive failes.....thanks guys..

Since you want to get what's on one hdrive onto one in another computer, I'd suggest doing a backup of the whole disk and then using the BootCD, restore that backup to the new computer. If the two machines have identical hardware, there shouldn't be any problems. If not, then you'll have to run Windows repair install to install the hardware drivers for the new machine before you try and boot it up.
