I was wondering if u can help me, when i try to use the[ help and support] in the start menu it says, that, this is not a valid windows 32 application.
I know that in the past this function did work, but it does not work now.
Is there any way of finding out if i still have this application installed or not
I am running windows xp.

thanks the mul

Hello the mul,

Find this file and create a shortcut on your desktop for it... C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe ...You should be able to double-click it and launch help and support.....

HTH :) ...

Did u recently install wormguard3?

There is a known conflict between this and H&S in xp.

I was just wondering because u said that H&S worked for u in the past.

Thanks puff-m-d for all your help, i did what u said and created a short cut and it works fine now.
To your question snowbound, i have wg 3 installed for many months now, with no visible problems, but i cant say that some other programme caused this problem for it not to work.I have not used the help and support application for many months, and do not know why it stopped working. But as u can see now the short cut has fixed the problem.

thanks for all your help

I am just glad I could be of help ;D.... The Help and Support center runs as a service and sometimes software conflicts can cause the service to be disabled. More than likely the link from your start button will work now as usually just starting it by the above shortcut seems to restart the service.... But I always keep that shortcut handy just in case it becomes disabled again ;) ....

Just to let u know, the original link still does not work, but the short cut i pinned to the start menu does, so i am quite happy it is working again.
When u click the original link it still says it is not a valid windows 32 application, but i suppose as long as the shortcut works, that will do just fine.

thanks again the mul
