Is there any way to verify that ESS is scanning my incoming mail? I use The Bat e-mail client and at this point with ESS I don't have a warm fuzzy about it scanning my incoming or outgoing e-mails.

Other than sending myself a virus...

The pop3 ports are scanned when the e-mail is downloaded from your ISP regardless of what e-mail client you are using.

It is in the E-mail protection tab under POP3

In options you can set that notifications will be added to all files (on default in NOD32 v3.0 is to infected emails only, on 2.7 was to all at default) then all emails will have adnotation on bottom that was checked by NOD32. This way you will know.

I have also The Bat! and both versions of NOD32 are obviously working with it.
