The PDF advises any other AV applications be removed prior to Smart Security installation as they may conflict with NOD32. Do I need to remove Comodo BOClean?

Does it conflict? Do i need it anymore or is the Smart Security sufficient on its own?

Thnx

WAS running Comodo along w/ESS, but comodo just to flaky for me. Couldn't learn anything about "trusted" sites, so after 2/3 weeks, uninstalled it altogether. ESS fw doing just fine...;)

Thnx - I will uninstall it when I get the much awaited email for my ESS download.

I have been advised I should run a HIPS firewall in conjunction with ESS - is this necessary for managing outbound programs? Is there one for Vista that is compatible with ESS?

If you are worried about leaks not being controlled by ESS you "could" (not should since in Eset's opinion it won't be necesary ;)) run a HIPS but not a HIPS firewall since ESS already has a firewall and you SHOULD NEVER run two firewalls at the same time.

There has been a lot of talk this days about Threatfire: http://www.threatfire.com/ I have not tryed it so I can't tell you if it is good but it is the old CyberHawk, recently acquired and renamed by PC Tools, an ambitious security company. PC Tools is not so bad so my gues is that it could be a good add, just have to try and see.
