I'm not running any firewall. I have the XP firewall turned off.

Why ?
Please enable a firewall (Windows Firewall) or you risk of being hacked.
Then I would suggest that you perform Repair install of Eset Antivirus . Download the latest installer , run it , choose the option to Repair and reboot after that :thumb:

I don't use any software based firewall on my system because I'm running a Linksys WRT54G with its firewall enabled.

Same here no problems with 2.7. I do not have the Comodo firewall installed, but I do have BOClean running. Not sure why there would be a conflict with Nod v3 as I've have it running along side v2.7 and have zero problems.
