In PDF_XChange viewer: Edit / Preferences / File Associations, under which you will find options for making PDF_XChange the default pdf viewer.
For your browser (K-Mel here, not Firefox, but I suspect there are similarities), under "advanced preferences" Browsing / File Handling, there are numerous file associations (including pdf handling) which are configurable.
I'm sure a Firefox devotee will chime in here soon.

The "Display PDF in Browser" feature isn't avaliable yet.
Like said in their support: "browser plugin still not released since it causes some troubles with viewer's ActiveX control."
In the near future, I guess...

Doesn't matter... main goal is, that it displays pdf's with just a click, outside browser, in x-change. No need to download and then opening.
Now I can remove adobe from my computer...;D
