Hello!
I'm putting a new larger hard drive in my laptop.
I've used Norton Ghost 10 to create a backup image, which is on my Desktop D drive.
When I use the Norton Recovery CD, I've had to go through some different steps but I'm stuck getting Norton to find the recovery file folder.
The disk boots fine but from the searching I've done, I belive I need to Map my recovery file to a drive.
When I try that, I keep getting error "network location cannot be reached".
I'm typing "\\192.168.1.103\laptop" into the where laptop is the name of my shared folder where the recovery file is located. I've tried lots of other things too but nothing has worked.
Any suggestions I hope? I have tried pinging to that IP address and that reports that is Ok.
Both computers are hard wired to an Airlink router, and both are running Windows XP pro SP2 and both have Ghost installed.
Thanks!!!

OMG Yes!! Not as good as sex but it's close...
I'd seen the first link but the second was exactly what I needed.
Why can't Symantec just put those instructions on the recovery disk?
Anyway thanks so much. A frustrating (wasted) day just turned around. I'll be smiling all night. Thanks.

Im glad it helped. At times I think I'm just translating the userguide into English.

Here is my "translation" of Copy my Hard Drive. If you follow the userguide I'd expect 100% failure.
