Update Nod32 over http: protection login/password ?

Hi :)

I have a server with Nod32 in mirror mode. The mobile users connect themselves automatically remotely in HTTP to update nod32 (port 8081).

Is it possible to make safe this connection with the server by login/pass ? (in order to prevent that everyone does not make its updates on my server :P)

One solution is to limit the IPs / computers which can connect to the server .

The other way , which is much more convenient is to make NOD32's Mirror ask for UN/PW before it provides the update. However , this is not possible in v2 . AFAIK it will be possible with the upcoming v3

I would have thought setting up an alternate profile would be the way to go. As documented from post #67 here:

That way, while the users are connected to your lan, they will use your mirror - when they are outside, they will connect to Esets mirrors.

R U sure? What is with the Username/Password selection in the Mirrorsetup? (Page 7/8 in Documentation, nod_ug_net_en.pdf)

Another possibility, provide the mirror with an simple http server, which supports e.g. .htaccess...
