Does anyone have a RAID controller working in True Image 11 ???

Hi all!

I have tried several Intel on-board RAID controllers with the TI 11 Boot CD and they don't work. Other postings are also reporting that RAID controllers don't work.

Now I want to ask the opposite question: Is there anyone out there who has a RAID controller that works with the TI 11 Boot CD? If so, please let us know.

True Image 11 CD boot seems to work OK with my VIA 6420 RAID chip on Asus motherboard. I have not restored, but it was able to backup.

I have a P5N-E SLI and True Image 11 Home works perfect with it.
I am able to backup and restore with the restore cd as well as
from the software running in the os.


I am running:

P5N-E SLI
Windows XP PRO sp2
3GB Ram
2 - Western Digital Raptor 150GB in RAID-0

I have the operating system running on the Raid-0.
Also the Try&Decide feature works perfectly
though I am not using the secure zone to store data. Pointless on a Raid 0.

I have both a second internal for storage and work files as well as an
external backup drive via USB.

TI-11 Home works great for me. Though as I have been alerted to in another
thread here in the forums. My mobo is running an Nvidia Raid and NOT Intel.

I am also using the 8027 build of TI 11.

I have not run extensive tests, but the Full mode version of TI 11 (build 8,027) seems to work fine with my MSI P6N SLI-FI board. It sees the RAID drive and validates okay.

North Bridge chipset: nVidia nForce 650i SLI (C55)
South Bridge chipset: nVidia nForce 430i (MCP51) -- SATA/IDE/RAID controller

The picture that is coming out is that ATI 11 works with nvidia southbridge RAIDs but not the Intel (although prior versions fo ATI worked fine with Intel southbridge chips. It seems the linux drivers can't understand the disk structure if the Intel RAID is used.

I have used my TI-11 bootable Rescue Media to clone my RAID 1 array (PCI Promise controller) to a single USB external drive. Mission completed with no problem.

Please collect and include into your request the following information needed to buid the custom media iso image:

Please create Acronis Report, Windows system information and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317).

Please also collect the exact vendor and device names of the controller in question.
