whats this stuff

These programs are run everytime you start your computer. Try to keep this list as short as possible

its on my start up and two of these it seem like i dont need

can i get rid of some of these start ups with out killing my pc?

for example this one seem to start up and i dont use crazy talk at all why is it in my start up

yes i have program but why does it hide in background start up seem like ram hog to me

what i dont get is these or a few of them arnt on my start up list on xp

but there on regclener record on start up so a few of these are hidden on start up

hi phantom lol i use my smileys but my protection right now is at extream lveel no active scripting or javah lol

well i press on the first link and its cool that the information is there it does help but do i need carpserv or not lol

if i turn it off will it still let me conect to the web and use aim voice or will it basicly frag me lol

still its perty good to know what it does from the look of it its a not need thing

basicly for hearing the modem connectto the internet sounds worthless

Hi Blaze,

Well, disabling a run key by: first saving a backup of it (find it in regedit, export the whole key to a .REG file), then removing the entry in question, should be a safe test. Remove it. Reboot. See what happens. If it does cause a problem just reload the reg key again.

It's not like deinstalling software where you might wreck something. Disabling a key and rebooting shouldn't be a big deal and can be reversed if it causes a problem. (After all, booting to Safe Mode is not all that much different. The PC comes up without any of those keys running at all, along with a whole bunch of other stuff.)

Just backup the registry entries first and remove each one at a time and test by rebooting.

oh ok that sound good thx for the heads up

i delet them with reg cleaner and reg cleaner backs them up for me incase i made a boo boo

i can use it in safe mood go to backups option and reinstall it perty cool ok brb

whoa speed demon from hell and i only got a 700mhz celeron pice of crap and by the time i was back from geting a glass of water i was already at the welcom screen of windows xp my god thats fast
