Have you tried clearing all temp files and then try the install in safe mode so nothing else interferes with it.

1) What was / were your previous AV program(s) ?

2) Delete manually C:\Program files\Eset

3) As once suggested by Blackspear , download this tool:
http://www.nod32.it/getfile.php?tool=settmp
Extract it and run it . It will make your Temp variables to one only folder -> C:\Windows\Temp

4) Using Windows Explorer (a.k.a. My Computer) , navigate to C:\Windows and make sure folder with name Temp exits . If not , manually create it.

5) Download a fresh new installer from (just in case the old one may have got corrupted) :
Trial version (http://www.eset.eu/download/trial) or Full paid version (http://www.eset.com/download/registered_software.php)

6) Boot Windows in Safe Mode (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222) and attempt new installation from the ESET NOD32 installer file.
