Whilst using JV16 PT to clean the reg. I saw ref. to "about blank home page" for IE, I think it said; along the lines of "useless reg. entry" as the item didn't exist.
Too, in AutoRuns, there was ref. to that but the box was checked meaning something there tries to fire up at boot time as I understand it.
But, I think Spybot and/or Spywareblaster has some mention of the "about blank" home page for IE so I wonder do those apps insert some ref. to that?
I ask in part as an earlier post of mine asked about seeing now and then at bootup mention of dialog box stating that the system can't find C:\Program or a similar message. Person/s in the forum said to look for what is/isn't checked in Autoruns... which I of course hadn't thought of.
So... what should I make of this "about blank" stuff?

Oops, forgot to ask: ran Chkdsk, found no report in root DIR or in Event Viewer. I think Chkdsk does generate a report "somewhere," is that corect? If so, where?
