I really like nero's incd feature but hate the rest of the bloat included in the prgram. Can anyone recommend any good alterntvies?

Depending on your use of packet writing (what INCD does), could a USB flash drive fit the bill? USB drives are far less troublesome and they don't need any additional software (after Win 98 ) to function as storage devices...

The only alternative for InCD, I do remember is DirectCD of EasyCDCreator.
Packet writing on CD/DVD's can't be trusted and I ditched it long ago, too many failures. You better use harddisks or similar hardware to create, edit and remove data files.

The only other alternatives that I know are DirectCD (but comes with easy media creator), B's CLiP6 (http://www.bhacorp.com/products/clip6/clip6_retail.html) and NTI Dragon Disc 2.0 (http://www.ntius.com/dragon_disc.asp).
