Hi

to don't make confusion

Windows Genuine Advantage Validation ->need to update xp
Windows Genuine Advantage Notification -> tell u if u have a genuine copy

my question

is still around ?
that is should be carefull in the automatic update?
is there a tip to get rid of this crappy service

i know , i'm sure ,i have a bought xp

Yeah its still around. It seems everytime i update, wga needs to verify that my copy of windows is legit. There are tools to remove it, however if you want to auto update you'll have to install it again. The only way around i figure is to update manually.

i don't talk about wga
i'm talking about Genuine Advantage Notification is a program in system tray ,that every boot checks if ur copy is legit

Yes, look at the last 2 paragraphs of the link I posted, it tells you how to install it and also how to see if you have it installed. (It's in add and remove programs, but you cannot remove it, just disable it)
