Will using the Windows osk (osk.exe) go at least some way in protecting
against potential keyloggers or is it pretty useless for entering passwords
etc. on encrypted sites (banking sites for example) ?

Regards.

Hello,

You can't know for sure, really depends what is installed.
If you suspect a keylogger:

1. Don't use that pc for transactions.
2. Get rid of it.
3. Use a live CD for online purchases / banking.

Don't have a keylogger - just asking the experts here whether it's
a good idea i.e. better than not using it. Another "layer" so to speak.

Virtual keyboards/on screen keyboards are defeated by screen capture keyloggers :)

Hello,
Let's be realistic regarding the keyloggers. Quite possible, but very unlikely. For most people, software should be their greatest fear - although they shouldn't be afraid at all.
