\Hi
I want to test norton antibot next to NIS 2008. Will there be any conflicts?

I tried it recently, seemed to work fine together. But I fund AntiBot to use A LOT of CPU on both my machines. It basically never stays calm and as soon as you do anything it goes wild .. although I didn't really notice a slowdown to be fair.

I am currently running both Norton Antibot and Norton AV 2007 here with no problems at all. System startup is a little slow, but that aside, everything else is great, good general system responsiveness etc. Adding a firewall with NIS shouldn't affect anything either. So I would say there should not be any problems.. but as always, try it and see to make sure..

I ran them side-by-side for a couple of weeks during a trial on a heavily used system. Didn't find any issues or conflicts. Waiting for Antibot to go on sale of free-after-rebates :-) It definitely fills the gaps by blocking the *very few* things that will get through NIS looking at the latest av-comparatives tests.
