I have saw a few reviews where SAS was tested against simulated malware that had limited positive results. And I have saw a response from SAS that indicates their program does not respond to simulated malware. Has anyone tested SAS by throwing real malware at it that attempts to make harmful registry changes?

The reason I am asking is because I am using SAS Pro and like it. But I need to know if I need other security software to protect my computer's registry.

Thanks

Hi, folks: If SAS does not fit your needs, try RegDefend; it catches most(if not all) registry changes.

SAS offers pure signature-based protection. If it detects a malware sample, be sure that SAS will kill it.

99.9% so true

The only registry defence/monitoring trick SAS attempts in both free/Pro is homepage change blocking if the that option is selected.
