Hello,
I know this is kind of ... offtopic in general, but on Monday I have a short interview for LPIC course. If everything works out as intended, I'll begin a 2-month course in October, eventually becoming a junior linux professional.
It's something I love, so why not make it official.
Just to let you know, I'll keep you updated if you like.
Cheers,
Mrk

Hello,
The advice will keep flowing, no reason for anything to change.
Let's see how the meeting with the staff goes today.

Hello,
Been there, apparently after the couse I'll be able to test for lp 1-3, which is good. Everything seems cool. So October it is...

Good luck. And thank you for all the good, on-point linux advice you have freely given (no pun intended, well, maybe). This may be hard to believe but, in the Bronx, women are crazy about junior linux professionals.

Hello,
I have been urged to post ...
So here I am. I began the course last week. It's nice. The tutor is nice and funny. The first lesson was "why MS sucks." We're are playing with RedHats and SUSEs.
Seriously, the course allows me to take exams for LPIC-1/2/3, RHCE and Novell CLP. I'll prolly take all and hopefully pass all of them.

I think every serious computer user should at least work with a few different operating systems for a while.
And every computer specialist should broaden his horizons,
and really study more, than just one brand.
