Hi frendz,

I need to take the image of a hardisk containing two OS (Vista,Xp Prof sp 2) to a DVD. What can I do with ATI 10. How can I restore the image. I went thru the user manual only to add more confusion to my mind.

I plan to buy ATI 10 if this will work for me.

My Acer laptop also has a hidden partition in the hard disk which it uses to restore the Vista during bootup. Will ATI 10 image include this hidden partition?

Does ATI 10 has any issues with Vista (actual work enviorment)

Acronis 10 Home will have no problem backing up some or all partitions on your hard drive. Hidden or not.

But that's a secondary consideration. How did you do that with your text?!! :o

We've seen problems restoring Vista if the entire drive isn't selected. In some cases, a repair has to be done using the Vista installation DVD. It's probably worse with a dual boot system. However, imaging the entire disk (all partitions and MBR) and restoring the entire image has been successful.

I've been using TI 10 on Vista without any problems as have a lot of others.

Hello jjperakatt,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

As has been noted by random110 and jmk94903, Acronis True Image 10.0 Home (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/features.html) can make an image of a whole drive including all partitions on it. To restore an image in case of system failure you need to boot your computer with Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. Please see chapter 10 "Creating bootable media" of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/docs/) for instructions on how to create one.

We recommend you to download and install the free trial version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/trueimage/) to see how the software works on your computer. With the trial version of the product you will be able to fully use the Windows version for 15 days. The bootable rescue media will be limited to restore function.

Please visit Acronis online store (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/sales/online/) to purchase the full version of the product.

Thank you.
