Hi All,
When the final version of ESS comes out, will existing NOD32 users be able to transfer to ESS for free?

I ask as i bought NOD32 yesterday for my parents but really wanted ESS as it also has the firewall.

Can this be done? Should i cancel their 3 year subscription and wait for ESS?

Any advice would be appreciated.

i would imagine the nod32 license would work for nodAV only

ess would probably need a new license or upgrade license

Back when they first started talking about ESET making a security suite they said that a Nod32 user with an active subscription would be able to upgrade at no extra charge. I hope they stick to that because I just bought my third subscription. I've always liked Nod32 a lot. I've used McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky and Avast. Nod32 works better than any of them.

They better give it for free... I bought my first license 2 years ago. I paid for 2 years. Used Nod32 for few weeks. Then I travelled and when I came back after 12 months, the license didn't work any more. I saw the updating routine changed and udpate server changed etc... I wasn't able to upgrade... I guess they deactivated my account because I wasn't updating NOD.

This year I purchased another 2 year license, so they better let us upgrade it for free, or I'd be mad like pepper. ;D

So keep your NOD updated so you won't get deactivated like me ;D

Updates are possible as long as the subscription is valid. We do not deactivate licenses. Should your username/password be rejected, contact the distributor you purchased NOD32.
