Conflict with PC Tools ThreatFire

On a WinXP SP2 Pro system, my PC will sometimes freeze upon a bootup at the ESS splash screen, with nothing to be done save pressing the power button. Problem did not exist with beta 1.

No other resident software installed save for ESS and TF.

That's strange.. I'm running (ESS) Beta 2 + ThreatFire and even Spyware Terminator, though I don't have any freezing problems.

It might aswell be a conflict with other software lying in the System Tray/background, or even idle, only installed on your system.

First of all, you should write any other programs that are constantly running at the same time in the background as they will start together with your security, obviously.

Hi, Solcroft, i have encountered similiar problems.
Try to disable advanced text services and loadconime.
