Microsuck has done it again. In an effort to try and make everyone buy MS Office, they have downgraded Outlook Express in Windows Vista. In fact, they took out Outlook Express altogether and replaced it with Windows Mail.
Windows Mail is just AWFUL. It's obvious that MS does not want you to use it. They want you to buy MS Office and use MS Outlook. My biggest problem with Windows Mail is the delay they programmed in.
For every 100 contacts you enter into Windows Contacts (the replacement for "Address Book"), there is a .3 second delay in the interface pulling up. I had no idea. So I imported my 2300 contacts. After that, it now takes 7 seconds for the gui of Windows mail to show up when I try to create an email. Then there is another 5 second delay if I want to view the contacts and select the email from a list of email addresses.
So all in all, there is a 12 second delay for every email that I send in Windows Mail.
Does anyone have a viable workaround?
Does anyone think that MS will address this problem?
To make matters worse, I own a registered copy of MS Outlook 2000. Even though it is supposed to be Vista compatible, Outlook 2000 will not work...
