I tried to install a commercial keylogger, and ESS 1b wasn't able to detect it when running (it could take screenshots, keystrokes....), even after an in-depth scan...
I hope the final release will be more effetctive with such kind of spyware!

But you installed it yourself, it wasn't trying to install surreptitiously.

oh yes, you are right! but other AV prevent me from installing it (or downloading too), when if they are running the AV detects and removes it.

This isn't related to ESS as such at all. No AV detects all malware, including some obscure keyloggers.

Exactly.
(But I'm also a bit ... uh, concerned with what the OP says.)

Is there a way for users to manually report these programs as suspicious so they can be added to the database?
