Hey,
I need a firewall which doesn't need too many ressources because I want to play online with it. I had Agnitum Outpost before (which was really good). But I need a new one now. I already tried Zone Alarm but that was the worst I've ever tried. Does anybody know good firewalls?
Thanks in advance:D

try LooknStop or Sygate

Doesn't Sygate belong to Symantec which was bought from Zone Alarm?

Symantec bought Sygate, but you can still find downloads for teh firewall. and BTW Sygate is not related to ZoneAlarm.

Not too sure if this helps but i just use my hardware firewall for online gaming. Its fast and uses 0 resources :)

Same here.

If you feel you need a beefier firewall than just plain NAT, built a linux based router such as Endian or Untangle or IPCop w/Copfilter.

A Hardware firewall would be the best solution.
You can also add another extra layer of protection using Windows FW.

If you're only looking for a software firewall, or just can't afford a router, I'd suggest you Look N stop or Jetico 2 !

Cheers

Personally I have not had much problems with games and all the firewalls I`ve tested but for some reason I prefer Look´n´stop. It is so simple, if by any chance you wont get any popup when the online game wants to connect to the server you just go to the log and allow it with a right click. Then I edit the rule and tell it to only allow the connection when the game .exe is loaded.
