View Full Version : External HD disk warnings

Hi Everyone,

I created a Acronis Back Up location, on a new Seagate external HD for my TI 10 image back ups. But before creating the back up location, I used Acronis Disk Director to create one primary and two logical partition on the external HD. The TI 10 back up location is on the primary partition. Since creating the Back up location, I have used TI 10 to create one image of my "C" drive.
In the last few days, in My Computer > Manage>Computer Management>System Tools> System I noticed a disk error warning concerning a paging file error, on the external HD. (I'm enclosing a text copy attachment of the error message) .
Since the Seagate HD is new, I'm wondering if the Acronis Back Up location is preventing Windows XP Pro from having full access of the HD , which could be creating a false - positive disk warning ? Or Acronis Disk Director is "blocking" out Windows from having full use of the new HD.
Feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried to upload the text file attachment to my post in this forum, but I wasn't allowed to because I already uploaded the attachment to a similar post in the True Image forum.
If anyone wants to view that attachment, click on kOlo's link and it will take you to the other post.
Thanks.
