This may seem like a dumb question, but inquiring minds (mine) wanna know. I wanted to do an error check of my C drive using the 'Check' Operation in DD10 on the Bootable Media disk which I created. Since the option is in the Windoze version I assumed it would be in the bootable CD version as well. Imagine my surprise when I found that it, along with the 'Defragment' option was missing! The two menus are shown below with the bootable CD menu on the left.

I am running the latest version version of DD10 (Build 2160). I have regenerated the bootable media several times but no dice.
Does anyone know if these options are supposed to be provided but are missing due to some glitch, or have they been omitted from the bootable media deliberately? If the latter, WHY???. This would be the preferable environment to do these two actions.

Bill:

Yes, they are supposed to be missing in the bootable rescue media environment. The reason is that chkdsk and defragntfs are native Windows routines. They are supported in the Windows environment and the program just calls the routines from Windows. When you're in the rescue environment, Windows is not running and these two routines are unavailable.
