Acronis 9.1 Enterprise, using Local Server.

Attempting to do a Files and Folders only manual backup from an external hard drive attached to the local computer.

The logs show an error:
"Failed to snapshot partition with ID: 225 containing path 'F:\' being
backed up [Backup operation will not snapshot that path]"

Then, it goes on:
"Create full backup archive from: F:\SHARPDOCS\ to file .....etc. etc."

The backup process then continues for about 12 minutes, with the final
notation:
"Operation has succeeded"

So, I don't understand what is wrong.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello Tom W,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please notice that it's possible that something prevented Acronis drivers from gaining exclusive access to the drive. Note that if there were no other error messages, then the backup is created successfully and you can ignore that message.

You can also make sure you use the latest build (3854) (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/support/updates/) of Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/ATIESWin/features.html). To get access to updates you should first register (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/registration/) your software.
Additionally, you can download the latest version of Acronis drivers (http://download.acronis.com/support/SnapAPI_l_s_e.zip), unpack the archive and install unpacked MSI package.

You can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server in the respective User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/download/docs/).

Thank you.
