So I am having speed issues with my fios and kis6... It seems that if i stop scanning port 80 in the web-av, i get the speeds i should...is this a security risk?

I had the same problem.
About 6 months ago someone suggested doing this in the KAV forums.
It was said that if something got thru, the AV would still catch it.
How accurate this is, I'm not really sure, but it made sense to me.
I unchecked port 80 and never looked back. 8)

If you download malicious files, then File-AV will detect it when its downloaded.
The only safety concern of disabling Port80 is that web-exploits will not be detected. To reduce the posibility of this, you can use a WebBrowser such as Firefox and the NoScript extension.

Hello,
kis7.0 uses a ndis driver to scan network traffic and shouldnt slow down your internet connection.
so wait a few days untill its offically realeased then download it.
then uninstall kis6.0 reboot and install kis7.0
if the issue persists after that then ask at the kaspersky forum.

Nixie's issue's was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling, he had installed 7.0 ontop of 6.0 which is not recommended.
