Yahoo! Mail disabled free access to its POP3 service in April 2002...........YahooPOPs! is an open-source initiative to provide free POP3 access to your Yahoo! Mail account.
"......emulates a POP3 server and enables popular email clients like Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, Mozilla, Calypso, etc., to download email from Yahoo! accounts.......provides a POP3 server interface at one end to talk to email clients and an browser interface at the other which allows it to talk to Yahoo!"

Darnit. And I spent a month severing all ties to my yahoo acct. I left Yahoo's opt-in settings alone and abandoned it. I bet there's 5,000 or more spams in there if they haven't deleted the account. ;D

~shivers~ there was no way i was going to go in and check that....i am sure my browser would have froze up trying to load the spam just so i could sit and delete it after.
