Do I need to make new bootable rescue media everytime I do a full backup? If not, how often? Just once?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Also, can safe version and full version go on one CD. I'm guessing no but just thought I'd ask.

You just need to create the rescue cd once.

And yes teh safe and full versions do fit on one CD.

When you update to another build, you'll need to create another rescue cd.

Some people like to use a cd-rw disk so they can reuse it, others like to keep their older build cds in case they work better (because of bugs in the newer build or Linux driver changes).

Hello everydayearthling,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/products/).

Please notice that WSFuser and MudCrab are correct. You can put both versions on a single media. It's recommended to recreate Acronis Bootable Rescue Media after updating the product, since ususally new builds add drivers to support more hardware. Please also see this article (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/kb/?aid=470) for more details about Acronis Bootable Rescue Media.

Thank you.

Thank you WSFuser, MudCrab, and Marat. Thank you Marat for the link. I will be sure to read it. I read the manual but not everything sunk in the first time. I was also a little confused about what a build was but I understand now.

Thanks again,
