Hi all :)

For those who like "adventures", there is an update of the climenole's experimental rules.
I'm working on different projects so I can't be in the Wilders forum often.

Ref.: Experimental rule set for -NiCeGuY- (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=174202)

Have fun ! ;D

Since half of the internauts in the whole world are presently chinese
and
there is some references to "climenole's rules" in some chinese web sites (Baidu?)
I have to do somethings for this... (automatic translation services are excluded! The result is " " ) 我保持沉默 :-X

Hi all :)

Some rules to import ...

IPv6 blocking rules. They are configuration dependant: this works for standalone PC or for the PC used as server in Internet Connection Sharing. Otherwise these blockings must be done with the router itself (if the router have this feature...)

Keep smile !

use this command now to look up whois info
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=

Climenole,

Thanks for sharing your ruleset :)

Can you provide some help on the IPv6 rules. Are these rules important in regard to inbound protection?

Maybe you can simply post a link to some detailed information, so you don't have to write too many lines here ;)

Thanks a lot,
Thomas :)

These IPv6 rules are the equivalent of some Ipv4 rules already in the previous versions of my rules set... I'm working to create a more simple filtering...

Please remark that the IP blocking rules are now divided in two subsets: the "B" is configuration dependant because that's work only in standalone PC or on the server PC in Internet Connection Sharing... Unfortunatly, there is no way in LnS to set the public Ip Address in a rule... In a network the parameter is equal to the local IP addr. not the public one... Otherwise these IP may be blocked from the router itself if it have these features...

The "C" subset should works for all configuration.

For the Ipv6 you may start your investigations there:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipv6

and check also the links to other sites...

I'm presently working on new articles (in english) on my web site about this matter...

Stay tuned.

:)

Hi,

Is this rule set better than enhanced rule set?

Thanks.
