Hello,
since my bt home hub is very unreliable i thought i would try some solutions.
so i plugged in my old router and connected a ethernet cable from that router to the bt home hub.
then i connected a ethernet cable from the bt homehub to my desktop.
i disabled the DHCP server in the bthomehub to make this work.
in place of my old router will hopefully be a new more reliable router soon.
the connection works fine.
but the problem is the voip function of the bt home hub doesnt work with this connection. only putting the internet through the bt home hub makes the voip function work.
my cordless dect phone is connection directly to the back of the bt homehub using a adaptor to make it a voip phone for cheap calls using a new phone number from BT
any ideas to make the voip function work with this loop connection?
in the .ipaddress tab it has the range of ip address for the bt fusion voip.
and the .ipaddress for the lan_private
thanks in advance
