I realize this is directly OT but indirectly it's about security.
My bank is Dutch and I am having trouble over the simple English word
"INITIAL" when it is related to " Occurring at the Beginning" - When I got off the phone is when the penny dropped that just maybe there is no such word in the Dutch language and therefore no translation of that word into English would be possible, and that could be the reason for the problem I am experiencing.
This really is a dreadful nuisance if this should end up being the cause here, and the exact same type of problem is to be found in the translation of several of Albert Schweitzer's great books from German into English.
There should have been one language from when time began,
'Simple English' - No wonder the world is almost constantly at war, and even on Forums the misunderstandings - mistranslations etc. can be clearly seen
to cause much knashing of teeth, consternation, impatience, intolerance and several other little gems to boot.
Any help re. my "INITIAL" problem gratefully received.
