Hello,

When using the new interface for Hotmail and trying to type a new message, the compose window is blinking five six times, stops blinking for a few seconds and starts again. This is very annoying.
There is a background advert window for MSN but no others.
Does anyone know the reason for this?

Kind regards,

PeterVO

Hi PeterVO,

Are you using a stylesheet?

You can check in IE under Tools > Internet-options > General tab > Accessibility
If you find one and you don't know where it came from, please tell me how it is called.

Pieter

Hello Pieter,

that was quick. No, I'm not using a stylesheet.

Kind regards,

Hi PeterVO,

That's both good news (no hijack) and bad news (no solution). ;)

Hopefully someone familiar with Hotmail can help you out.

Regards,

Pieter

I have gone to hotmail several times trying to duplicate your problem. I can't make it do anything to cause your problem. Sorry I could not figgure out the problem. By the way I dislike the new interface at hotmail I think they could have done better.

'May have something to do with the "Rich-Text Editor" in composing an e-mail to send from your Hotmail account...

- With the "Compose"d frame open, on the Menu bar, go to:
> Tools > Rich-Text Editor... and see if you can change it to Plain-Text mode (this is apparently set as your default by cookie modification); not certain of this, but give it a try.
