Hi

I use the Opera broswer for my mail client as well and was comforted to see "The message was checked by Eset Smart Security" at the bottom of my e-mails. However, after seeing the Firefox Compatible post, I thought it wise ask the same re Opera: am I correct in assuming that ESS is protecting my computer when I'm browsing the web with the Opera browser?

Thanks

Hi,

I posted the Firefox message.
I think it does offer protection, after my message was responded to I vistited their site. It mentions that the internet protection works on the WINSOCK level. Which I think is pre browser.

So I assume that it diesnt matter what browser you use.

Yah, just to ease your mind with a second opinion along with OMEGA's.
Your browser or email client makes no difference to security products like this, they work at levels lower than the client level. So any browser and any email client will be protected fully.
