Are there any security websites which give a list of safe Registry Settings?
Currently, I keep backups with EasyDesk RegDrill but I would like to have regular backups. I used to use ERS9x. I did not get the XP only because I used the default NTFS. In any case, the Emergency Recovery System worked well for me to start an unbootable startup. Yet now, I would like to be able to do a serch through the hive with a back up.
I am asking here because I am seeing that I really need to know what I can and cannot give permission to Allow in RegDefend. How can I identify a threat if I do not know which registry entries are threats? Are there any database lists for searching those?
