Right now, my system is running well. If I don't plan on adding or removing any software, is it OK to "freeze" the registry?
By that, I mean that I just had JV16 Powertools make a snapshot of the current registry. At any time, I can have JV16 compare the current state of registry to the snapshot and restore the snapshot. Or I can have JV16 electively restore some of the snapshot and leave other changes.
Is that safe?
I do regulalry add data to a MS Access database as well as store new PDF and MS Word files. But I don't plan on adding any software to my system for some time. So as long as I don't add any programs or software to my system, is it safe to keep restoring the snapshot of the registry I have now?
