How to find what program is associated with each icon in the systray?

How to find what program is associated with each icon in the systray?

I "assume" there is someplace in the registry, but I am having no luck.

When I try Google, I get a gazillion hits about "Right-click on Start".........

What I want: the "Green Circle" icon is c:\whatever\whatever.exe

Sorry, I just can not figure out what Google search string I need.

I must be misunderstanding you Mike - If you hover your mouse over any icon in the tray. it will tell you what program it is - if any don't, then a right click
on the icon usually throws up a menu, 'help' on that menu index will tell you
also.
If you want to know where the program is, once you know it's name - usually in Program Files.

Right-click, only has "Manage FirstDefense-ISR" and "No Tray Icon".

It has never told me it is, FirstDefense-ISR.exe or ISRCmd.exe or ISRControl.exe or ISRMonitor.exe or ISRViewLogs.exe or ISRWait.exe or SupportInfo.exe?

I have no clue what .exe it is... where are systray entries stored?

You can run msconfig to see startup entries (http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/)

Well at least you would know the processes for those 10 icons, no?

Well if C:\ is your main Drive you will usually find any of the program .exe's
in the Program Files Folder, but the nuisance is, some of them are in a different named Folder - To save fiddling about, I always go to, 'FIND' - You may have
a 'Search' box - and type in such as, FD-ISR.exe - because the Windows
'Find' is a bit slack, I use a little search App. called, 'Agent Ransack'.

Another way is to get the, Belarc Advisor, which has a list of all the Apps.
on your computer, and has an asterisk at the end of each App., you click on the asterisk and it takes you to exactly where it is.
