View Full Version : Vista: Copy, Move, Delete Bug

When I delete, move or copy a file to another folder in Vista, a box pops up for several minutes "Estimating time to perform...", even when deleting an empty folder.
I have searched the Internet for a solution and all I find is that many people have experienced the same behaviour. In fact, many have gone back to XP because it is so irritating.
Has any one found a solution?

Sort through the "comments" at the end of this article and see if one of the suggestions can help:

I have restored an image from a backup, and now the problem is gone. Since I had not installed any new software, I have gone back to XP. Vista is just too "in your face" and too many bugs and BSOD's for my taste.
