PC World had similar results, rating NOD32 as second tier for malware detection.

Crappy tests !
Why ? Do you believe Symantec gets more than Kaspersky and NOD32 ?
Do you believe Rasing AV is better than NOD , AVG , the other competition ?
I don't believe . Real world results show completely different numbers !

Don't underestimate Symantec just because their NAV2004/2005/2006 line was crappy...

I don't , but simply NOD and KAV are better than them .
You comment about Rasing ...
One unreal thing makes the whole test fake

It's a test done by AV-Test.org, the largest and most respected AV testing organization of the world.

I will comment further on Rising in the other thread.
As far as NOD32 is concerned, I see the "real world results" argument is being brought up again after years of disuse. If you noticed, AV-test's trojan samples seem to be more numerous overall than AV-comparatives, and since its a larger sample set, that itself would account for much of the differences. Andreas Marx even visited the AV-testing workshop held recently. He is held in great respect in the industry. If you are saying AV-test is unreliable, then I don't know what to say....
NOD32's results are as reliable as they get, and the truth is that AV-test.org's tests have never been friendly towards NOD32. And since the sample set in this case was larger than AV-comparatives, and considering that the garbage level is about the same as AV-comparatives (or maybe less because again AV-test has more resources so maybe they can sort this out better), which is a very low amount and not likely to impact test results significantly, for the detection of Worms/Trojans/Bots/Zombies it seems AV-test is the more reliable test for the moment...

Is it really necessary to post this topic here when it already exists in the "other anti-virus software" thread?
