As per the title.
I used that built in "send sample to avira" thing in the quarantine, but is there another way?
I has a look in their forum, but I couldn't see anything. I uploaded the file in question to virus total, wher eit was only detected by avira, esafe, fortinet and ikarus, along with webwasher, but I'm certain that it's an FP, as the file is part of autocad 2007. (since avira quarantined it, my icon has been replaced by the generic .exe icon)

Also, is there a way to submit to avira in such a way as to get a response from them? Other than teh automated " we hope you understand that we can't reply..."

Let us know how quickly they resolve the FP.

I had an FP for over two weeks that was eventually cured when the originator of the file released a new version.

Whilst this resolved the problem, it didn't give me a very comfortable feeling about Avira's support processes.

I've had very good experience with reporting false positives to Avira using the link provided above. They've responded promptly and updated the pattern to remove the FP promptly.

Scanned them again today, and they all came up clear :D
Can't complain, other than that the email was in German. (which I don't speak)

Usually, they have an English version of the email at the bottom, if you scroll down.

not this time, German to the end. I'd already seen the results of the analysis online though, so it was no biggie.
