no; SSM covers the same things as PG and more.

AFAIK System Safety Monitor (Full), easily blows away apps like those anymore. The best part of SSM for me is that it is as stable as iron with no taxing the system whatsoever. They done a great work with this app. Coverage is formidable and they've obviously mapped out most all the critical areas of potential entry to your system, and those the haven't? You can add to the program for coverage. One of many other favorite features of mine is "Keep This Process In Memory" which will restart any security app if it happens to undergo an attack to terminate it.
