I tried to test the firewall in ESS. These are my results:

1.Ghost: FAIL
2.jumper: FAIL
3. GRC leaktest: PASS
4. Pc Audit: PASS
5. Yalta: PASS
6. AKLT: FAILED ALL
7. cpil: FAIL
8. mbtest: PASS
9. DNStester: FAIL
10. thermite: FAIL
11. surfer: FAIL
12. Wallbreaker: FAILED ALL

OEPS :'( :-\ :o
This doesn't loook very good. Passed only 4 out of 12

ESET please do something about your firewall.

Hi Sjoeii,

It had to be expected since ESS Beta 1a is the same as Beta1 regarding features, so the results are the same as with Beta1. I sure hope, though, that this will be fixed/taken car of, in one of the next beta releases.

Some of these tests aren't even Firewall tests but just plain security tests.
AKLT for examle is a keylogger test and it fails all

Yes, AKLT is not a leaktest, more of a security test, since it's a test intended to show how security products can protects against keyloggers, and it doesn't try to send any data.

There are other tests like this, too : SPT, APT, PX, and SDT are tests used to see if a process resists termination by various methods. I don't have time right now to do this, but it would be nice if someone could test the ekrn.exe process against them.
