If so, could you please describe the issues you were experiencing that motivated you to dump KAV.
Thanks in advance!

Well, I have trialed both and Nod32 hardly gave me problems at all. On KAV my computer went to a drag and was very slow to respond, specially on my web surfing. Both are good products, and can't go wrong either way.;D

And some people switched to KAV due to the PDM and/or detection rates.
DrWeb users praise the tiny updates, the lightweight realtime scanner and the superb support.
Avast users swear by the shields, the boot-time scanner and the stability.
AVG users like the fool-proof GUI and the detection rates are improving (ask Firecat).
Some people have stayed with F-Prot since the DOS scanner and now the detection rates are very good. Support is excellent.
And so on.

KAV slowed my machine down too much and what annoyed me too was the crappy 4KB/sec download speeds I was getting when KAV was updating. Also, as mentioned in another thread, KAV missed a virus. :thumbd:

I only switched to NOD32 because Im using Server 2003. On XP though, KAV worked fine for me.

This topic was started with nothing but trolling intent. Thread closed.
People should know better than to reply to trolls from people who start far too many posts in just a few days pitting one product against another.
