AV realtime protection disabled

I have ESS beta 1 on windows vista home basic, and every time on the start up the antivirus realtime protection is disabled, so I think I'm going to wait until the next beta to try it here, meanwhile I'm using it in a computer with windows xp where works perfect by now.

Have you tried reinstalling ESS? It could be that the engine file got corrupted somehow (e.g. due to a disk error), reinstallation should fix it if that's actually the case. Before you begin reinstalling ESS, check the disk for errors, just in case.
