In interactive filtering mode, sometimes it blocks ActiveSync from establishing a connection to my PDA.

I've found that allowing rapimgr.exe unlimited access to the private 169.254.2.x range (generally where ActiveSync positions the client PC/device) on all ports allows my iMate SP5 to work correctly.

If you actually have beta 1a installed and set the firewall to interactive mode, a pop-up window should have showed up and prompt you to allow or deny the communication.
