I'm a licensed NOD32 V2.7 customer and I'm not interested in Firewall or other features that ESS offers, I just want the antivirus to beta test. So, is there any news on when this product will be out for beta testing? *puppy*

I cannot be sure but I guess there will be no beta v3 of the antivirus . ESET Smart Security will be the v3 NOD but without the firewall and the antispam .

I was told by support that there will be no AV Beta. ESS is effectively the Beta for both products.

If nod v3 is ESS without firewall and antispam then it worries me a lot.

Nod v2 has Imon to protect HTTP .

Since in Nod v3 this is done by firewall, how will be antivirus only users be protected with imon gone?

HTTP and POP3 protection will remain even in the stand-alone AV.

Ok that's something. :isay:

Is there an estimate when the product will be done?

I was told by our rep that NOD32 v3 (ESS) will be publicly avalible June 2007.

What exact day in June I did not find out.(Sorry).

End of June is ~6 weeks off. This first Beta (1 and 1a) has been out for 6 weeks as of tomorrow. So I'm not gonna hold my breath for a public release by the end of June.

;D Perfect. Love this new ESET product. Not persevering with AVG anymore.

i think that's fair enough....co's always test the newer or major new component....
av is doing fine in the beta....
