I have a laptop with a failed hard drive. The laptop will not boot at all.

I am an Acronis 10 user, and have a stored image, made the boot disk, etc. I also have purchased a replacement hard drive.

After I "physically" install the new hard drive, what steps must I take to get my Acronis stored image onto the laptop?

Thanks

Hi,

Well depends on where ur image is...

I would say :

Connect any device used for restore : usb drive, network, ...
Boot on the recovery CD
Select Restore
Select your image
Wait a few minutes until it is toasted both sides...

Et Voila!

A magnific new laptop!

Just if you dont have DHCP Server and you want to restore by LAN, you should specify an IP address and subnet in Tools / options or something like that.

Hope it works!
